I have never used Skype, what is it and where do I get it?

What else do I need after downloading Skype?
All you need is a decent internet connection (the faster the better) and a webcam. You can purchase a webcam if one is not already built into your computer. Today most laptops have them built into the top of the monitor. I've seen decent webcams sell for around $40 at BestBuy and other retailers. I use and can recommend the Logitech brand. These webcams attach to the top of your monitor (computer screen) so the other caller can see and hear you. Most webcams have mics built into them.
