Gary Primich was one of the true masters of harmonica. He’s one of my biggest influences and these 2 songs from the CD Botheration, “Daybreak” and “Feel Like Going Home”, will be the focus for the upcoming class. Everything will be recorded for playback in case you cannot attend live!

We will use a G harmonica for “Daybreak and the A harmonica for “Feel Like Going Home. Both songs are played in 2nd position. Daybreak has wonderful latin vibe and lays out really nicely and straight ahead which makes it perfect for advanced beginners and intermediate players.  “I Feel Like Going Home” was first recorded as a demo by Charlie Rich in the 70’s and later he released it in 1981. This is the version that Gary took inspiration from when he recorded it. It’s just such a fun one to play. You’ll here Gary repeat the lines throughout this 8 bar Gospel country blues progression. We will learn the intro of both of the songs in this class with notes of tablature provided ahead of time. You’ll still have the opportunity to ear train the lines in class or look it your notes if you choose. I will also take questions from the group throughout the class.
