This download includes 9 backing tracks (mp3 format) and the PDF file listing the keys of songs, harmonicas used on the original CD “’til Then”. Recommendations for positions (key of harmonicas) to try is also included.
These backing tracks come straight from my CD release ’til Then. There are 9 electric backing tracks in all. We ended up capturing some killer tunes (all live) with no overdubs, and/or tracking. This made for a great sound on the CD.
In the process of creating the backing tracks, Brad, the engineer, was given the challenge to remove my vocals, and all lead instruments so fellow musicians could jam along, and woodshed. This was not an easy undertaking as we recorded the album all in one room with microphones on the amps/drums etc. So,?there are a few tracks,?even with Brad’s magic touch,?where you can still hear the faint sound of a harmonica solo, and a vocal line. That’s due to the bleed over into the other microphones in the room that we had to leave in the mix (rhythm guitar, bass, drums etc) to make the?backing tracks. He did his best to suppress those in the mix/master process. So, while these are not perfect, they’re pretty darn good if I do say so myself. I think you’ll find that they’re worth the small investment.
