Rocky Mountain Harmonica Retreat

Rocky Mountain Harmonica Retreat 2016
If you love the sound of blues harmonica and would like to advance your skill set of techniques, discover how to get big tone, learn some new unique blues riffs/phrasing, work on ear training, receive some direct feedback in a small group setting, and enjoy a mini vacation all at the same time, then this event is for you.
Imagine spending a weekend up in the picturesque Rocky Mountains soaking up the views, the fresh air, good company, amazing food, and learning the ins and outs of blues harmonica with me and a few other folks. We had gorgeous weather last year and I’m hoping for the same this coming year. I will be changing up the workshop a bit this year from 2017. I will be incorporating more play time, ear training, and a more focused approach in the group sessions. There will also be a live performance on Saturday night with Moses Walker on guitar and myself, and yes you will get time to play some tunes with him!

Mountain Retreat Home
During the retreat we will have 2 group sessions, and a group jam with feedback in the evening. There will be a very limited number of spaces for this event. I will cap the event at 8 people so do not wait to sign up! There is also an option to bring your spouse/partner along. Accommodations will be first come, first serve. All of your lodging, and 4 home cooked meals are included in this package. Wait until you see the retreat home where we will be staying! Check it out: Mountain Retreat Home Details. That’s a picture of the house in beautiful Winter Park, Colorado. This home is nestled right above the town, and includes a pool table, air hockey, foosball table, hot tub, wrap around deck, and much more. This retreat will be a nice blend of focus, and relaxation.
Check out the menu for the weekend! Billie will be working hard to feed you guys some delicious, healthy food!

I liked most everything about it. I liked that it was over a weekend, small grouped, and offered a relaxed, but scheduled course for learning and advancing. Your ability to focus on the positives of what everyone was doing helped to foster an inviting atmosphere, free from criticism and ego.

The retreat was a huge success. I felt the musically diverse range of experience of the group was beneficial and the small group size provided just the right amount of attention for each person. You delivered much MORE than my expectations re: instruction. The food was superb and the accommodations were spectacular.

The retreat was superlative in every respect. Having an intimate group with a unity of purpose, was the best. The setting was perfect…food delicious! The instruction in the setting was spot-on. You spent time switching gears with students all weekend and you pulled it off beautifully.
